Meet Diana!

Name: Diana Faaberg

What type of well practitioner are you? Im a yoga instructor

What is your day job or is this it? I quit my job as a writer 3 years ago to be a full time yoga instructor

How long have you been participating in yoga? I have been practicing yoga for 6 years.

Who are your biggest influences? Who do you admire most? My biggest influences in my life have always been my parents. They both set a great example when it comes to following your dreams and doing what you are really passionate about.

What is your training regimen? I don’t follow a very strict regimen when it comes to training. I more about listening to my body and giving it what it needs rather than what I want it to do. Buy I try to a least train at the gym 4 days a week. And I practice yoga almost everyday. Some days it’s intense and other days it could just be a very light relaxing stretch.

How do you structure your days? I try to avoid falling into a routine. Usually I have mornings to myself, where I train, work, run errands. The classes I instruct are mostly during the evenings.

Do you find your diet to be a crucial part of your lifestyle? If so, what diet tips would you recommend to your followers? My diet is very important, but I’m not too strict on myself. I don’t have a fixed diet but I always try to choose the healthier option. There are a few rules I try to follow everyday; drink a-lot of water, eat some kind of fruits or vegetables and no more than 2 cups of coffee a day.

How do you care for your body and health aside from your practice? I feel like being mentally healthy is just as important as being physically healthy. I journal a lot, as a way of processing my thoughts and feelings. I like a spend a lot of time outdoors, surrounded by nature, it gives a very grounding feeling. And of course being kind to my body by eating healthy.

What is your impression of the Silipos products we sent you? How did they add value to you? What did you like about them? I really like the quality and creativity of the products. When practicing yoga having good grip is very important, the gloves helped a lot with handstands and other arm balancing poses.

Would you recommend Silipos Yoga Gloves to other practitioners? I definitely would recommend the Yoga Gloves, especially people who are working on poses that require you to be on your hands a lot.

What is something that your followers do not know about you, that you find to be very important to your personal lifestyle? I wasn’t always healthy and flexible as some people might see me now. I was a bit overweight, didn’t workout a day in my life. So it’s really just about changing your mindset and starting. We all have to start somewhere.

What keeps you motivated when you are faced with challenges? Knowing that they will pass. Finding healthy tools to work through those challenges is very important. Knowing that I came a long way from where I was, so I just have to keep going.

What is one piece of advice you would give? Don’t compare yourself to others. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Keep your focus on your own growth and happiness.
